Sell FSBO or Hire a Real Estate Agent?
In todays real estate market it is very challenging to not only, sell your property, but to make money on this sale. For this reason it is very common for sellers to attempt to sell their property For Sale By Owner. There are many different sources of advertisement that are available in order to get exposure on a property but it all boils down to time and money. Everyone knows that a real estate agent is a skilled professional that has the expertise necessary for making a sale but in the end, all these skills come down to getting more people to come across a property in order to get the most dollar for it.
The main reason people turn to real estate agents is because selling a property is a full time job, and agents devote all their time and energy into finding buyers so that both agent and seller are satisfied. Listing a property on to the MLS isnt enough, therefore agents look for different avenues of marketing properties, they dedicate all their time in order to spread out a property as much as possible across the internet because these days, the more internet exposure a property gets, the more chances there are of a property selling.
Attempting to sell a property For Sale By Owner is a very time consuming task, one would have to spend a lot of time in front of their computer in order to truly market a property. Of course, though, there are big sites on the internet where a FSBO can submit their property to one time and there is a chance that a buyer will come across it, but in order to increase the chances of a property being sold ten fold, a FSBO would have to find a large number of different sites to market their property on. One site to consider is ListingVUE.com, because this site not only gets a good a mount of traffic but listings are also pushed out to multiple other high traffic websites.
Quality sites to list a property on usually cost money or have such a large amount of inventory on the site that it will be difficult to find one specific property, that is unless a buyer spends a long time on a site which isnt to common these days. Therefore, in order to get the most for a property it would be wise to spread out a listing to as many sites as possible. There are many sites on the internet that will push their inventory to other sites, either for a small fee, or for no charge at all.
So the argument remains; real estate agent or sell for sale by owner, an endless debate that runs through a sellers mind when taking that step to sell a property. Using a real estate agents will bring result, but it will cost quite a bit considering compensation must go to the buyers agent and the sellers agent. Selling For Sale By Owner will save a considerable amount of money on the sellers agent side, but in order to truly be able to market a property much time must be spent in front of a computer in order to push out a property to as many different websites as possible.
